Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My clock is displaying all 88:88's on the bottom of the display, what is going on?

A: First check memory battery and see if it is low or dead, remove battery and power up unit and see if that fixes your problem. If not, it is probably a bad display driver and unit would need to be sent in for repair.

Q: My backlighting is uneven or doesn't work, what is wrong?

A: The unit uses incandescent bulbs and some or all of them have probably burnt out.

Q: My unit is reading _ _ _ on temp reading, what does this mean?

A: It means the unit is not seeing the probe, it is either a bad connection, or a bad probe. Check wiring then replace probe if wiring is fine.

Q: My unit is reading --- on the top line of the temp display, what does this mean?

A: This means there is probably a short inside the probe, replace probe, C307PS.

Q: My display digits are off, ghosting, what is wrong?

A: The LCD display has moved inside the unit and is miss-aligned and needs to come back in for alignment. It is possible that the LCD display could be cracked in one of the corners.

Q: My button fell off, how do I fix it?

A: You can either send unit in for repair, or replace button with 5 minute 2 part epoxy. Remove case with single screw in back and glue button to switch shaft. Place unit face down on buttons till glue dries.

Q: When trying to set time, FT, or ET, more than the flashing digit is changing, what is wrong?

A: The clock IC has failed and needs to be replaced.
